The Roots

The deep meaning of life and our connection to nature. The work was created by the collage method. On the first layer, a bird appears, which was made with thin lines and lace texture. The bird is a symbol of freedom. But It is rooted to the ground like a tree. It shows the connection with our roots and ancestors that sometimes doesn’t let us fly freely. There are two background layers behind which colors are dedicated to the elements. Deep blue symbolizes water, the lifeblood. And the red one symbolizes life, the sun, and fire.
